The Digital Design Institute-Academy of Digital Media was established in 2003 upon approval by the State of California, Bureau of Private and Postsecondary Education. The Digital Design Institute was authorized to offer an online certification program that would award a Professional Certificate of Proficiency for Graphic and Web Design to graduates of the 12-week course. This program is available for aspiring design professionals as well as those wishing to contemporize their current digital media skillsets for only $945.
The Digital Design Institute program is taught by graphic and web design professionals, as well as University of California educators like founder John Lane. In addition to acclaimed online instruction, students will interface with design team mentors as well as gain access to valuable resources to develop and expand their design and web development portfolios.
For more than a decade the Digital Design Institute program has been an important certification and educational resource, but the administrators would like to expand the program while maintaining its present cost structure.
1) The Digital Design Institute would like to promote this program to a broader spectrum of potential students, especially recent high school graduates desiring to enter the digital media and design profession in lieu of an academic institution.
2) The institute would also like to add additional digital servers to optimize performance for delivery of the instructional material to their students.
3) Finally, the Digital Design Institute would also like to re-develop parts of the curriculum to include current emerging technologies and design trends.
